We need to remember that.

Now Let Them Tremble: Pit Bull TRUTHS:
I read a post today that really pissed me off. It was about pit bulls, and how they’re killing machines and how they should all be killed. Well, this is for that person who thinks they can play god and decide who and what dies, thereby making them more of a monster than the animals they hate on without any good evidence to back them up.
Telling other people to educate themselves on pit bulls is really stupid, when the people you’re telling that to are the ones who ARE educated on pit bulls. Saying that we, as humans, should kill ALL pit bulls, is EXACTLY like Hitler saying, Well, hmm. I don’t like Jewish people, so let’s kill them all. Are Jewish people inherently evil? NO. Are pit bulls inherently evil? NO. It’s all in they way they are raised. Did you know that other dog breeds have been put through the same awful gauntlet as pit bulls are being put through now? And just to name a few of these dogs that people were once TERRIFIED of, and wanted nothing to do with them except kill them are:
Rottweilers, Huskies & Alaskan Malamutes, German Shepherds, Doberman Pinschers, and Boxers… But, are you terrified of one of these dogs hurting you any time you walk past one, or any time you look at one? NO, you’re not. Hell, police use German Shepherds daily.
Did you know that pit bulls were actually used as babysitters before? Pit bulls were once known as “nanny dogs”. And I literally mean it, families would allow their VERY YOUNG AND SMALL CHILDREN to be watched by these dogs. Did they fear that their dog would randomly turn on them or their children and eat their babies? No. It’s not like that freakin “A dingo ate my baby!” type of thing with pit bulls. Pit bulls are renowned for their gentle and patient nature, especially around small children.
Did you know that pit bulls were used as service dogs in the military? And that the Unites States was actually represented as a pit bull on many propaganda posters during WWI & WWII, with slogans like, “Neutral, but not afraid of any of them.” and “We’re not looking for trouble, but we’re ready for it.” Now, those slogans don’t mean, oh hey, look, we’re a pit bull and we’re going to rip you’re motherfuckin faces off and eat your babies. Those slogans give testament to the easygoing nature of pit bulls, but also acknowledge the fact that they’re still DOGS, and still have the ability to do damage… JUST LIKE ANY OTHER THING OUT THERE WITH TEETH AND CLAWS. There’s actually a pit bull that is known as THE MOST DECORATED WAR DOG TO HAVE SERVED THE U.S. MILITARY. Don’t believe me? Look up Sergeant Stubby.
Did you know, that pit bulls DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT! Have locking jaws? The anatomy and function of their jaws is identical to that of a Chihuahua. Do people go around complaining about how evil Chihuahuas are, and how we should kill them all? Uhh… NO.
Did you know that pit bulls CAN LIVE WITH OTHER DOGS AND OTHER ANIMALS? Yeah, that’s right, they can… just like any other dog. And also just like any other dog, some might not get along well with other dogs or other animals… That is all in how they’re raised by us HUMANS.
Did you know that a pit bull is NO MORE LIKELY TO BITE YOU THAN ANY OTHER DOG? “Pit bulls are even less likely to bite than many other types of dog! Breed groups commonly identified as pit bulls have consistently scored at or below average for aggression when compared to other dogs. Temperament evaluations by the American Temperament Test Society give American Pit Bull Terriers a very high passing rate of 82.6%, while the average passing rate for the other 121 dog breeds tested was only 77%. No spayed/neutered, indoor pit bull has ever killed a person. According to studies by the CDC, a person is more likely to be killed…
- by a family member
- by a falling coconut
- in a bedroom slipper related accident
- choking on a marble
- drowning in a 5-gallon bucket
- getting struck by lightning
…than by a pit bull. “
SO, to all of you HUMANS hating on PIT BULLS, take a look in the mirror before you start accusing these dogs of being things like, evil, killing machines, worthless, etc. It’s not in the dog’s nature to be mean. It’s not in their nature to hurt people. It’s all how HUMANS raise and treat them that dictates how they will respond to humans and to human interaction.
The same thing can be said for pretty much EVERY ANIMAL out there. Now, until there is some rock solid evidence explaining how EVERY SINGLE PIT BULL EVER KNOWN TO MAN is an inherently evil creature and does nothing but kill, there shouldn’t be any breed specific hate going on.
And just from personal experience, BOTH of my pit bulls would rather cuddle on the couch with you, probably licking the shit out of your face and fighting for your ATTENTION, than hurt you or anyone else for that matter. No matter how many different people we’ve had over, they treat everyone exactly the same. We actually joke about how our FEROCIOUS AND TERRYIFING BEASTS OF DOGS would probably welcome a robber/axe murderer/rapist/etc. into our home just like anyone else, because that’s how nice our EVIL, MAN KILLING pit bulls are.
Oh, and did I mention that one of our precious, adorable, loving pit bulls was actually rescued DURING A DRUG RAID, had been fed a shit ton of cocaine, wasn’t treated right by the people who had her, and yet she’s literally the NICEST dog I’ve ever had the privilege of calling a part of my family. After ALL SHE WENT THROUGH, she’s STILL nicer than this one itty bitty tea cup poodle I met like two years ago, who tried to eat me even though it weighed all of 3 pounds at the time.
OH… AND HERE ARE MY SOURCES since you’ll try and say I made that all up. And some other links to the TRUTH about these beautiful dogs.

OH! and look, that second link talks about dog attacks… just because I know SHIT HAPPENS and that pit bulls are STILL ANIMALS.

This makes me pretty sad.
I’m not against cropping ears and docking tails if they’re done properly by a vet but I am against this.
I think it’s ridiculous how this Pits ears look. They don’t look healthy at all and the dog obviously isn’t enjoying what he’s doing to him. I’d be pissed if someone was shoving a fucking cardboard tampon in my ear and pulling on my ears.Fuck people who think they can crop and dock their dogs on their own and think it’ll look good.
Personally I prefer Pit Bulls with their natural ears. They’re goofy dogs and the way their ears bend and flop when they’re playing or upside down are hilarious. Not to mention Pit Bulls ears are cropped basically down to their head and it fucking looks ugly.
The human race disgusts me.
I agree, cropping is so unnecessary and Pits look better with their ears.
Just to let you know though, a vet cropping is just as painful (slightly more humane, but painful) as a home crop. I think it should be banned every where like it is in some countries.
This pup would be so beautiful if his douche bag owner who has a small penis didn’t chop it’s ears off.People are fucking disgusting….

It has been said, ‘time heals all wounds.’ I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.”

Good training goes a long way….

I’m an animal lover. I’ve had horses my whole life. I have pit bull. She’s about 70 pounds. Yet she is strong enough to pull me, I weigh about 170 pounds, as far as she wants. I’ve never had that issue with my horses. That’s difference between a “bully breed” of dog and a normal breed of dog. When my pit, Ava, is on the defense she is powerful enough to do anything. Which is why we got her a harness. It gives me some control over her. The only other way to control her is to diffuse the situation before it happens. We have her in training so we can be better parents for her and so that she can be a dog and have fun but also keep her in check when she acts up.
Ava has been rushed and almost attacked by other dogs on many occasions. We adopted her from a shelter and she’s gotten better but she’s always been of the mind set to attack before your attacked. At home she is very well trained. But on walks and if there are other dogs around she is focused on the dog. I live in an area where everyone lets their dogs off their leash and run around. I don’t let Ava off her leash unless its just us around because I know she’ll run after the other dogs.
Which brings me to my final thought. If you can’t call your dog off when its running after something, LEAVE IT ON THE LEASH. I know Ava will attack something if she’s off the leash. Therefore I keep her on it for everyone’s safety. Thankfully, I have a friend in animal control and I’ve asked her about my situation with Ava. If a dog is off the leash and runs after my dog and the owners have no control over their dog its considered and AT LARGE DOG, therefore my dog and I would not be at fault since my dog is on the leash. I just don’t want my dog or anyone else’s dogs hurt because their owners aren;t in control. I’m doing my best with my dog, I want her to be able to go on a walk without having to be on the lookout.
Thank you for letting me rant. :)
